Nationwide Youth and Women’s Conference in Hiroshima

～　To bring together hopes for peace　～

    To connect hearts for peace, we will hold the Nationwide conference this year for the first time jointly organized by the Women’s Committee and the Youth Committee.

   The venue is in the atomic-bombed city of Hiroshima.
We will listen to the group of young people "Kakuwaka Hiroshima" aimed at abolishing nuclear weapons, and members from the international exchange organization "Hiroshima Semipalatinsk Project," which has over 25 years of exchange history between hibakusha from Hiroshima and Kazakhstan, will join in the interactions.
 At the friendly reunion, there will be a mini-concert performed by RICO, the representative of "Seed of Peace," an organization promoting the importance of peace.

14:00 - Opening of the Nationwide conference

  ✤ Introduction of "Messages of Peace" from Eurasian countries 

  ✤ Movie viewing of a documentary conveying the reality of nuclear testing in Semipalatinsk 

  ✤ Lecture

 "Hibakusha around the world, the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, and Us"

She Attended the first conference of the states parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons held in Austria in 2022, as well as various international conferences. Participated in the Bikini Day event in the Marshall Islands this March, marking the 70th anniversary of the hydrogen bomb disaster."
